Baltimore…we love you

Some of you might be stopping by and thinking, is she EVER going to post something new??  I’ve had my Easy Wire Blog Give Away post up since last week…and I’ll be drawing a name after midnight tonight!  ….If you are a first-time visitor here (welcome!) there’s still time to enter the give away…just scroll down to the previous post.

On Sunday we went to Baltimore again, and this time for an awards ceremony for my oldest son.  The boys got spiffed up in their suits and we enjoyed a wonderful morning on the campus of Johns Hopkins.  Sure brought back memories from my college days.  Back in the day, I received a minor in German here and it is my brother’s Alma Mater.

We're proud of you, Big G!

Afterward we drove right up the street to my Alma mater and took the kids on a little tour of the College of Notre Dame.  I  missed this place.   We stopped by the  faculty mailboxes to see who was still there.   I only found 1 out of 5 of my psychology professors names.  I left her a little surprise note!

We drove to the Towson area afterward for lunch, and would you believe I saw a childhood friend crossing the street!  We had to pull over… I cannot believe what a small world it can be…even in a place as big as Baltimore! 🙂  Oh, I also made a point to stop in to the nearest grocery store and pick up some of those yummy Berger cookies….I was in luck and they had them!!  I mentioned them back here….and one of my blog friends will be receiving a package of them in the mail! 🙂

Thank you all for stopping by…and I wanted to also say how THRILLED I am with the incredible response to the blog give away.  It won’t be long ’til the winners are revealed!

Cindy! I have been thinking about you!
Oh, your boys look so grand in their suits. I love the pictures! Such a gorgeous fall day!
Sprechen sei Deutsch? I am so rusty…LOL…only took 2 years in HS. I am mostly of German descent, but have a good dose of Czech…which I tend to appreciate more every day =)

Gorgeous pictures Cindy! You must be so proud of your son and your family!!
It’s always nice to go back, and I’m sure those stirred emotions will come out in your jewelry somehow! Loved seeing all of this!

    Those boys are the CUTEST! {Sorry…HANDSOMEST!}
    I love the suits!

Your trip sounds like fun. We usually go back to our alma mater UW-Madison for Homecoming but had to pass this year. I miss driving down the streets I used to walk and visiting my sorority house on the row and seeing the colors and hearing the sounds at the stadium. But we have more pressing concerns on our minds!

    Thanks for sharing!
    Enjoy the day!

How exciting and lucky to spot an old friend like that! The boys are too cute as always and look very dapper in their suits. Congratulations to Gabriel! What an honor!

The Berger Cookies with the 1″ thick fudge on top … are those what you’re talking about?! Someone gave me some of them … they’re dangerous. Love the picture of you and the boys. Baltimore is a great town. Did you know that fewer people move away from Baltimore than any other city in the U.S? People true to their city!

Thanks for stopping by….Yes! The frosting on the Berger cookies are as thick if not thicker than the actual cookie! I won’t tell you how many I ate yesterday……(lets just say thank goodness I bought a big supply!).

You’re right! I’m one of those wondering when you were going to update your posting!! Always looking for pictures of the family and not disappointed at all this time! What did Gabriel win an award for? All I could read was Center for Talented Youth at the top and his name. See any Parks people on the streets? You were right in Helen’s neighborhood! The Burger cookies are fun and delicious. I’m waiting for them to make some “gluten free”! Not that I need any more calories! Love the suits and the boys in them! Tell them when they get older that suits are “girl magnets”. Maybe they’ll continue to wear them!

I had no idea that’s where you went to school! You should call me next time you head out that way, and if you have time, maybe I can stop by and add to the cheering squad!
