Snow Days

snowday-2011-collage

Hello!  Have you had a few days like this too?  I hear the people up in Vermont have had twice this amount of snow.  And then there’s those out West who are reporting balmy weather.   It has been several snow days off from school for us.  Can you  see my 6 year old  son there seemingly singing praises for an unexpected 3-day break!? 🙂  We are going back to our routines though on Monday.  Our midwinter break was fun while it lasted!

Oh Cindy! Your photos always warm my heart.
I had 235 pictures on my camera since Christmas and just about every single one of them was of some sort of jewelry. That camera never sees the light of day. I really need to do that more often. And your family is SO photogenic. I have to think that they get that from you…

    Enjoy the day!

P.S. I am getting closer to deciding about DC in March!

I remember, in some long ago distant time, I used to love to play in the snow. Must have been a former life, LOL!
Glad your kids are enjoying it.

Lately it was a little bit warmer around here, this morning it was snowing so no spring in sight:-) Your pics are great! Looks like a lot of fun!

Your children are so happy in the snow. Wonderful photos. For some reason the storms have passed us by so far this year. The newest one on its way by mid week may be different. We do get snow but just the gently falling pretty kind that doesn’t close schools. Although last week all the schools were closed on Monday because it was 25degrees below zero. Now that is cold!! Have a great week Cindy.

Don’t know if it’s the lighting, photographer or the subjects. The photos ROCK!

Great photos, especially love the last one, glad you will be in class with me! I think more snow/ice is on it’s way this week so you may rack up a few more snow days before it’s over!

We’re off today, but because of ice rather than snow. But the snow is coming, and lots of it —they say. My youngest is elated!

    Sweet photos!

I was hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed to find no pictures on your blog! Beautiful colors! Snow days are fun for kids. We expect about 2 feet of snow starting tomorrow so we have a 6 yr. old coming Tuesday evening to spend the night! surely there will be a snow day on Wednesday and mom will only have to dig herself out and get herself to work! Aidan and I will be making snowmen and maybe even sledding at Hemlock park, if I can get there! Keep warm and safe. And please continue to post pictures!

Fun,fun, fun, they will remember these days forever. Somehow when you are a child snow is much more fun than now as a 40 something adult. We are expecting to get 12-18 inches tomorrow night and in to Wednesday. I hope is misses us again, so far we’ve been lucky in Michigan, only small amounts of 1-3 inches each time it snows. We may have 12 inches total on the ground now, but it’s settled.
