Wandering down to Williamsburg

Well hello, friends!

I hope this finds you well-rested after the long weekend.  My oldest son will be starting school today so a new adventure begins.  The start of the new school year is quite evident by all of the commitments that are already popping up on my calendar.   And so it is around the world.

I may as well rename this blog Sweet Bead Adventures as I have not focused on the Studio end as of late.   Family comes first and if you know our family, we rarely sit still for long.  We took a road trip down to one of our favorite tourist spots:  Colonial Williamsburg.  We have visited  every year for 13 years or so….and our dog Hodgie who you’ll see in these pictures, was there way back then too.  Hodgie and Bentley were there for many picnics in the days before kids.  I last mentioned this town in this post…..and hopefully we’ll squeeze in one more trip in 2010!

I was sad to find that one of our favorite restaurants, The Trellis, was under new ownership and therefore no longer baked the amazing brownies and cookies I have come to love.  All was not lost, we trekked across the way to Wythe Candy store and everyone was happy!  Have you been to this wonderful Colonial town?

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day or evening wherever you are in the world!
