Designer Highlight

It’s Friday!  I thought it would be great to end the week on a positive note… when I returned home from the beach I had a big box waiting for me.  We all love to get packages in the mail, and I was sure in for a nice surprise!  I was recently the lucky give away winner on Erin Prais-Hintz’  blog, Treasures Found::Inspiration is Everywhere.  Erin was celebrating her current publication in the August issue of Bead Trends, featuring her “Sweet Pea” necklace.  “Sweet Pea” is full of gorgeous potato pearls, Peridot and copper accents.

When I opened the package, I found a box wrapped beautifully like a box of chocolates…  AND a stack of past Bead Trend magazines!  Erin knew I had recently discovered Bead Trends and was so generous to send these issues to add to my collection.  The best part was opening the box and seeing her gorgeous potato pearl and Peridot necklace.  This one has such simple beauty and will be perfect to wear this Fall.  I was really touched by her hand written card, further explaining the qualities attributed to the gemstone Peridot.  This was such a personal gift from the heart.  It really speaks volumes about Erin that she would so generously give away her special, published pearl necklace.

If you’re not already familiar with her work, please stop by Erin’s blog.  I think you will quicly see what a wondeful artist that she is.  Her jewelry is very elegant and the workmanship is incredible.  She is a gifted writer, and really a motivational friend.  I always appreciate her positive spirit, which she shares with many of us on our blogs.  Go behind the scenes and read more about Erin’s  creative process on Watch Me Create.

Have a great weekend!
