These Magic Moments
Blink, and then it’s gone. That’s how this week has been around here. How about yours? Seems as if the week was just getting started when we celebrated Mardi Gras with a traditional King Cake. Wow, it’s been 2 years since I mentioned them on my blog last, in this post.

We kicked off the the ArtBLISS Metal Magic workshops with Stephanie Lee! Just this morning at the registration table alone I witnessed a bit of magic myself:
-
I met a lady who dropped off her sister. Why was her sister carrying a See’s candy bag? She came all the way from CA to attend the workshop! I fell in love with See’s chocolate myself back when I lived in Monterey as a newlywed.
-
I had the pleasure of meeting the most enthusiastic lady, one who traveled 4 hours from PA and said she has been waiting for this for 20 years. Her kids are now grown and she is excited to finally take a class in person…she signed up for all 3 workshops. Her outlook was great – if she only learned one thing today she would be happy (I have a feeling she learned a whole lot more!).
-
I watched the giggles and hugs of art sisters reuniting and anticipating a fun-filled day together.
-
I enjoyed talking with a new friend who came just to help with registration, although her class is not until Sunday! It felt great to chat with a like-minded soul who really “gets” what all of this bead-related excitement is all about. And as it turns out, her nephew is my son’s class! What a small world.
-
And one of the best things ever….. I met Stephanie Lee!!! 🙂
I left the event in good hands with Jeanette. I’ll return tomorrow to meet students and new friends, knowing there will be more tales of magic ahead. I’ll be sure to post a few pictures when I things are quiet again next week.
Have a great weekend!
