Bangle love

Bangles by Cindy Wimmer {sweetbeadstudio}

I’ve been on a bit of a bangle kick this past week.  It all started when I received an inquiry through Etsy, asking about a bangle design that was pinned on Pinterest.  Could I remake this one for her friend?  Well of course I could – it happens to be one of my favorites that inspired me to make several more similar designs over the years.  “Front and Center” was one of my first tutorials,  published in 2008.

My 2008 bangle design on the bottom features lampwork by Kerry Bogert.  I’m still hoarding a few more beads from that set!  Below is the custom bangle that I just sent off to CA.  It included a note from one BFF to another.  I love that I had a hand in this sweet surprise between two friends.

Now after making that bangle I wanted to make another, so I created a little collection.    I chose a lampwork focal by Moon Stumpp (and I cherish her beads even more so now that she has retired from lampwork bead making and is focusing on painting and digital art), and developed the black and brass color scheme from there.

Like the bracelets I created for the Wrapped, Stacked and Layered Bracelet Challenge last year (one of my favorite challenges to date), these bracelets can be worn separately or together .
