Try a 3-In-One Necklace This Summer!

Hello!

I’m so pleased to feature a project from the Aug./Sept. issue of SBS Wire.  Have you seen this issue?  I’m away from home so I didn’t see my copy but happened upon it at Michael’s last night.  I pulled the boys over to check it out ….thankfully they are patient, for a time,  when I go in to jewelry-talking-mode (and you know what I mean).

Pura Vida is a two-part project recently shown in Easy Wire.  Big, bright Tibetan beads are wire-wrapped in an easy-to-do asymmetrical necklace.  Little did I know how they would be used when I bought those beads last year at Bead and Button.

Wear the Tibetan necklace alone, or pair it with a silver necklace made of handmade wire links.  The twisted wire adds texture and depth.  When you wear just the chain, the turquoise beads around the back will be hidden behind your neck.  You can go from chunky to simple and classic.

Create the illusion of layers with two completely independent necklaces!

Be sure to check out this issue of SBS Wire to see the work of two artBLISS instructors!  Stacie Florer and Kerry Bogert will be teaching workshops from metal work to lampwork this September in the greater Washington DC area.  Personally, I love how this issue represents a few circles in my life – so neat how it all ties together:  jewelry + friends.
