Are you hoping to learn new jewelry techniques in 2010?  If you live anywhere near northern Virginia, I have some great news!  Barbara Lewis will be coming to the DC metropolitan area and will be teaching her popular Painting with Fire workshop!    You may be familiar with Barbara through her blog, Jewelry of Distinction,  or you may recognize her name from the current issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry.    I am thrilled to be assisting Jeanette of fundametals.net  in hosting Barbara when she comes our way soon.

In this torch-fired enamel workshop, students will learn how to operate a simple, low-cost torch.  Students will explore the process of enameling beads, and will enamel at least 40 beads and 10 pendants!  Barbara will bring various bead styles and loads of enamel colors for experimentation.  There will be an opportunity to meet new friends, as lunch will be included at the workshop. ….I know I’m looking forward to meeting a few blogging friends in person!
