Magie Noir

I left you last with my BTW post – a picture of brass, pearls, crystal and ribbon.   I have created a couple of jewelry pieces with these components, and guess what they reminded me of?  A fragrance.  Does anyone remember Magie Noir by Lancome?  I wore this perfume for years, and remember its deep and mysterious scent well.  I looked for it online and see that it was first created in 1978 and is still available (the bottle has changed entirely).     It actually reminds me of my Grandmother as that is the perfume I wore back in college when I would visit her house frequently.

Even though it has a holiday-glamour type of look, I think a piece like this could be worn with a nice wool sweater or even a black sundress.  I  love working with the brass and black combination and have named this collection Magie Noir.  I’m saving Magie Noir No.1 for later, but have No.2 to show you today.  I found the perfect prop for styling my photos – an old French tin from one of my Round Robin sisters.
