Inspired to Create

Autumn Cascade

How do you like Autumn Cascade?  I just finished this one today.   Working in such a random way is rather new for me, but the color palette is not.  I have always favored monochromatic color schemes.  The inspiration for this necklace is from a tutorial by Danielle Fox in Stringing magazine.    I bought the beautiful silver cones with this project in mind from the last InterGem show.  The shades of bronze in the pearls and crystal are perfect for Fall.

I came across a great blog tonight that I thought you may enjoy reading…especially if you’re someone who loves to create in one way or another.  Block Party Press  is written by an artist in Maryland.  What a coincidence that she is a SAHM of boys and also has a Masters in Social Work.  Not every day that I meet someone who fits that description.  Her blog explores the question, “What inspires one to create?”.   She herself creates something that I have never seen before:  pendants and jewelry created from hand carved stamps and polymer clay that are then painted with acrylics.

And on another note, just in case the code was not showing up before for the Good Bye summer special, here it is again!
