A little color mixed with wire
Today was a good day! For the most part. We visited a small town here on the Eastern Shore for the first time. The destination was the local library to see a fascinating presentation by Reptile World. At least I found the snapping turtle and American crocodile to be quite fascinating…but my one year old got restless and decided to do some running around. One thing led to another, and the purse that held my camera fell over…..not a long fall, and onto the carpet. BUT, somehow my camera lens shattered. Yes, my prized possession….my extra special lens. I’m not happy about it AT all. And now I won’t be sharing pictures of this quaint little town on the River (nor the python!).
Luckily I took pictures of this bracelet earlier in the week. I brought back this design from the sweet bead studio vault for a custom order. I so enjoyed mixing wire links with various shaped and carved stones that I made an extra. You can find this one in my shop. Sold, thank you!

Sorry about your lens – it’s shitty when those things happen. The bracelet is really nice though – I love this herringbone on the gemstones. I keep telling you I never tried it and really want to – and maybe I’ll give it a shot today.

Betwixt between the two! We love our precious little ones so much, but oh! when something like that happens… but our things are replaceable (albeit very expensive) and someday those little ones will be all grown up and sometimes (believe it or not) we’ll wish they were young again (just sometimes). I love the way you mixed the colorful stones with wire wrapping. Each piece you make is truly unique and creative.
The bracelet is super … love the colors and the wire wrapping expertise. Beautiful! But the camera issue is crappy! I had a similar situation. When Laura was getting her first hair cut at a salon, she was around a year old, I had my camera sitting on the counter in front of her. The strap was hanging down over the counter. One pull by Laura brought my expensive Nikon on a tile floor. That was the end of the lens and the interior workings needed help. It taught me a valuable lesson.
Sorry about the camera Cindy……Now a reason to get a bigger and better lens!!

Hi Cindy I think yesterday was just a bad day for many! I know it was for me in more ways then one! Days you want to crawl under the pillow and say world leave me alone for a while!! Im so sorry your lens broke! But me thinks things will work out. My husband bought us a super camera and I would be pretty upset if something happened to it. HA the other day my oldest said “Mom I need to use your camera tonite me and Adam saw a UFO last night lol” UFO smooFO I dont care if the little slanty eyed guys are looking in the window…Im so hesitant to let anyone use it for fear of the price it cost! Thats a wonderful bracelet you do such wonderful work! ox

Hi Cindy – What a beautiful bracelet – I love it! I’m sorry about the camera, though. It’s one of those things that you can’t get mad at your child for, but you’re still super frustrated…that’s why I use a cheap-o $100 digital camera – lol! Love this stunning bracelet! And, I must tell you how much I am still enjoying the beachy necklace withe the pretty starfish pendant that I bought from you. It is definitely a piece I truly cherish…because of its beauty and uniqueness but mainly because it is from such a special friend. 🙂 And, it was the perfect accessory to the little summery dress I wore “out and about” one day this week!

I’m sooooo sorry to hear about your camera lens! I would have probably cried & I don’t even have a great camera. I hope your able to get a new lens ASAP so you can take more pics of your adorable boys & of course your amazing jewlery!!!

Thanks for all of the sympathy, everyone. 🙂 I guess I was kinda whining there. I’m not mad at the little guy…it wasn’t his fault at all. I still have the original lens that came with the camera, so I’ll be going back to that one for now. It was a lesson learned for me. :-0

Now, allow me to offer words of condolence on losing your lens. :o( So, so sorry! I had my new camera for about 2 weeks, before I dropped it and broke it. I DO understand! (Thankfully, my hubby had one that I could use.)
The bracelet is gorgeous — I agree with everyone here, the wrapping is fantastic!!! I’m guessing that happens with lots of practice??? I have tried that wrapping around the bead, but only once, because it was so difficult. I think I need to give it another try – or 2, or 3 or 4! 😉
