Are you a quote collector?

Years ago in college I filled the pages of a notebook with quotations. When I stumbled upon something that really spoke to me, I wrote the words down.  Today it seems quotes are as popular as ever and can be found everywhere online.  Quotes are constantly popping up on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.

The quotes we share, tweet, and pin are often a reflection of what we are feeling.  Sometimes we just need an inspirational jolt.  Even better is when we go beyond the immediate and actually act on those inspirational quotes.  Recently I had this great idea to combine two things that I enjoy and plan to add some of my favorite quotes to my own photography.  Now I’ve found something to do with all of those pictures I take!  I’ll be adding these images on my Pinterest “Nicely Worded” board as well, so please join me over on Pinterest.

Pursuit of Happiness quote

Are you a quote collector too?

Oh yes, I have been a quote collector ~ and I remember doing the same notebook writing in college. Now I collect them in a Word document.
What a perfect blending of your photos and favorite quotes.
Love your board – much food for thought … thank you.

Gosh – that quote is so true! I collect quotes in a word document as well. I also seem to have tons lately on my iphone that I need to transfer to my word document. Whenever I come across great word art, out running around, I snap photos of it. I love the idea of adding thoughtful quotes to your beautiful photography. I think you could sell them!

Oh yes, I even have a folder on my computer for my favorite quotes. I love the one you shared here. Often we are so busy trying to make ourselves happy that it becomes forced. Sometimes happiness comes while we are doing nothing.

    Your photo is so wonderful!!!!

Yes, yes, yes,!! 🙂 I absolutely am a quote collector! I have a few notebooks where I like to keep my favorite ones and have one just for my own quotes/phrases. I love using them in my art, journals, and with my photography. I just love this picture you are sharing today…just beautiful! 🙂 Hugs!!

I have been collecting quotes since I was in high school and also wrote them in a notebook, which I still have. Many times they are just what you need to get yourself motivated or think of things in a different light. I have found them very helpful. I love your idea of using them with your pictures.

I am a quote collector. I have a file on my PC that I put quotes in whenever I come across them.

Your idea to make your beautiful photos extra special is brilliant! Can wait to see what you come up with.

Yep, I’m a quote collector! I had a line of framed embroidered pieces in the 90s that I wholesaled in the Midwest and on the West Coast via 2 sales reps. It was hard to keep up with the orders! I ended up getting very burnt out on those, but I’ve been fooling around with some small pieces in the last 6 months or so, and they’re still selling. I’m not even framing or finishing them this time. Just selling the embroidery!

I have notebooks from school where I gathered and saved and now treasure and hold dear. Some words,as Roger Housden explains…”make my whole body so cold, that no fire can warm me”…that’s what words do to me.Like paint, they fill my heart with color.
