Blossoms and Bead Fest

cherry-blossoms-dc-2010c-05

It’s finally that time of year.  With spring comes the famous Cherry Blossoms, blooming just about every where we look.  Dogwoods and Cherry Blossoms are at their peak now, so we recently took a trip in to DC to see these pretty blooms with the back drop of the Nation’s Capitol.

The view from the Thomas Jefferson Memorial is just spectacular.  It felt good to mingle in with the crowds and be a tourist so close to home.

Who could help but be inspired by the beauty of all the blooms?  I set to work and created a multi-strand necklace featuring one of LeAnn’s sweet porcelain Sakura beads.  I really like the delicate combination of rose quartz, tiny button pearls and oxidized copper chain.  This one is available in my Etsy shop. {sold, thank you!}

I’m off to Bead Fest Wire in Valley Forge, PA!  I’m looking forward to meeting blog friends, “old” and new.  There will be a little eating out, shopping and of course a workshop on Saturday afternoon.  Meet me back here for an update as soon as I’m free!

    Oh my gosh little Mama,

    The blossoms are breathtaking!!! And so is your new necklace. I love the way you were able to accent LeAnn’s beautiful bead without upstaging it. What a wonderful job!!
