Sweet Bead Studio Blog

On the newstands!

It’s time to sing the praises of some of my jewelry designing friends!   I picked up the latest issues of two wonderful publications yesterday and was thrilled to see the work of my online friends gracing the pages.  Many of you stopping by are familiar with these incredible artists and would surely agree a big CONGRATULATIONS is in order!

The Winter issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry is really packed cover to cover with breathtaking designs.  You’ll see gorgeous work by Barbara Lewis, Deryn Mentock and Diane Cook in this issue, as well as several other familiar and new (to me) artists.

The second annual issue of Bead Star is also full of amazing jewelry….I am especially impressed by the winners in this issue as the publication states that over 2,000 entries were recieved.  WOW!  I’d like to send a well-deserved CONGRATS to Erin Prais-Hintz, Lorelei Eurto (who featured art beads by Christine Damm), and my old friend Kerry Bogart.  You’ll want to pick up this issue if you have not already, and be prepared to be amazed by all of the creativity!

Have a nice weekend, and as always, thank you for stopping by!

Congrats to all the artists in the issues! It is so bad of you to tantalize me with these magazines that I can’t get over here, sweet Cindy! LOL Can you tell me who made the earrings on the cover of Belle Armoire? Ist is resin and sea glass? Is is Richard Salley?

Congratulations to all! I love that Bead Star necklace — I’ve made something similar but with funky lampwork and it totally looks different. Amazing how similar style but different components can look like they aren’t even related.

Aaaaand, you won the beads from my blog contest!!!!!

Hi, Cindy! I bought the new issue of Bead Star & am looking forward to reading it in the morning with my coffee!

Thank you for asking about my daughter. After nearly a year of wound care, she was released in October and is doing fine. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I had to purchase the Belle Armoire Jewelry issue. What creative designs! I was so happy to see Barbara’s work spotlighted in the issue. I haven’t found Bead Star at my local book store yet. I’ll have to see if I can hunt it down. Congrats to all the ladies for their hard work.
