Summer kick off

pondside-picnic-004

It’s mid-June, it’s hot, and school is almost out for summer!  An absolutely wonderful family in one of my son’s classes hosted an annual “pondside picnic” today and it was not to be missed. Imagine a children’s paradise – water, a tree house, lots of sand and a zipline – all on the property of their 1740 farmhouse in the Virginia countryside.  What a way to start the summer!

I hear that some of you are already heading on vacation (lucky)!  Here’s wishing you safe travels as you head on your way to some long-awaited R&R.  May this be the start of some great times ahead!

Hey, not just a children’s Paradise! Your son reminds me so much of what my husband would have looked like at that age! It’s like having a sneek peek at an old photo album. Thanks for jump-starting my summer.

Okay, so I can officially say that I’m so incredibly jealous of your kids. LOL
I wish I could have come, too!! I can only IMAGINE their joy at that little paradise 😀

Although I do have an ulterior motive…That farm is a DREAM of mine! To have a 1,000+ acre farm like that is incredible.

    Maybe one day!

I’m glad you and your kids had a wonderful day ^.^

    Hey Cindy,
We aren’t sure exactly what Rufus is. Could by Shih Tzu or some have maybe part Maltese? He is just my boy! Thanks for visiting and do look into the Where Bloggers Create thing. I don’t have a proper studio either, I hope there are others like me. It will be fun to see everyone’s worksspace. I love to see how others organize. I have stuff everywhere! You will see!
