The FUN times post before the BIG news post

Well hello!

I’m stopping in to say hello before November disappears.  I bet you’re with me when I say that the days are flying by just too fast!

We took a family trip down south, with traffic and all, to spend Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. The miles are just a little obstacle when it comes to spending time with the family you love.  And there’s nothing like slowing down a bit for a few days, something very hard for me to do.  I am thankful for the time with my brother, nephews, and my gracious sister-in-law who I always enjoy seeing…. the two of us have a special bond being the only ladies in all-boy households.  The days were too short, but were filled with –

Cousins, cousins, cousins!

Yoshi – my nephew pup…he loves to pull my brother (on his skateboard) through the neighborhood

Meeting the cutest Scottie named Roxy – she is a mean basketball chaser!  Boy did I get my Scottie fix. 🙂

Neighbors bearing home made cheese cake and apple pie

Long strolls to walk off all of the pies

Spanish moss everywhere and discovering air plants growing on trees – my oldest has a growing air plant collection he started on a previous FL trip

Avondale – filled with quaint shops

The fun of watching 6 boys go at it with their newly acquired $1.00 swords (until they broke…)

No agendas and late night talks

70-degree weather!

………so much fun before returning to reality.

There you have it – my blog post photo album.  Thank you for sticking with me til the end….. and the next time we meet here, I’ll have some BIG news to share! 😉

– Cindy

Most excellent photo of the two families although your husband is missing (must be the photographer). I’m glad we (the state of Florida) had good weather for your visit. It was perfect here in Melbourne, too. Six boys! I’m from a family of girls (four) so I can’t imagine. But what a grand time it looks like they had. I look forward to reading about your big news.

It looks like you all had fun! You know I identify with how hard it is and how important it is to get together with your family that is far away – even though it’s lots of work getting there! Thanks for sharing your pictures and I’m looking forward to your big news. : )

Aw, it looks like you guys had a fun time! Where are they located in Florida? Those pictures are absolutely beautiful, especially those trees 🙂

My boyfriend actually found a beetle exactly similar to the one in your picture except it’s orange for me. I want it!! Lol

Can’t wait to hear the BIG news–How about a hint? 😉

Hi Cindy, Love your photos (Do I say that every time I comment? Probably.) Sounds like a great Thanksgiving for you all. Ours was the best in years. Being with our daughter and her family was so special. Brooke burst out in tears when we arrived because she was so happy we were there. Sweet and lovely welcome. We always go around the table and say what we’re thankful for. When we got to the toddler, she had just taken a bite of something when her mom asked her what she was thankful for. She pointed at each one of us in turn and slowly. When she swallowed she said, “Mommy, Daddy, Nana & PopPop.” I just about cried at that. Such a sweet 3 year old (turned 3 last month).
I have a pretty good idea what your big announcement is. I’ll be surprised if it’s not what I think it is. Can’t wait to see (hear? read?) what it is.
    Hugs to you, Cindy

I know we must have passed each other traveling to/from Florida! I was in Viera – just outside of Melbourne – and the winds were whipping the whole time! Loved it! So glad you had time to spend with family! Your pictures are so awesome – I always feel like I am “there” when I see your pictures! I think I know what your big announcement is too….but I’ll wait! 🙂

I miss you Miss Cindy! I found myself thinking about you late late at night this week. I had been wondering what you were up to, what was on your plate. I love the photos you post of your daily doings. I am smitten with that Scottie! I love those! And I find it hard to believe that we can be in shorts in November. It turned cold enough a few days here to gloss over the river. But this weekend it will be back to 50s. I can’t wait for your news! Enjoy the day. Erin
