Weekend Warriors
Those truly linked don’t need correspondence. When they meet again after many years apart, their friendship is as true as ever.

Last night my husband and I attended a great reunion for former Wiesbaden Warriors. My friend Brian organized the dinner held at an authentic German restaurant in DC, Old Europe. I attended middle school and high school in Wiesbaden, Germany (was there from the 7th through 11th grades). This was such a rare opportunity for fellow classmates to get together. In fact I saw one of my best friends that I had not seen in 13 years….she flew in all the way from Houston. And I even reconnected with a friend I had not seen in 20 years! It was a great night of sharing stories and memories with fellow Warriors (from the class of ’67 on). Although we may not have all known each other back then, we share such strong collective experiences that it felt like we were all old friends.
And that friend that I had not seen in 20 years, well she just so happens to be a big Indie fan too! It turns out she lives less than a half hour away, and enjoys many of the same things: lampwork beads (she sounds just as addicted as I am), and shopping on Etsy.com. We’re long lost friends reunited in the world of the Handcrafted. You can visit her Esty shop here: http://www.sassygraceboutique.etsy.com/.
Go Warriors! 🙂
