New bracelets and fun places to visit today

Hi all –

Yesterday when I went to the post office to send my “Coastal Cottage” necklace off to it’s new home (thank you Ann-Margaret!), I asked for a book of stamps. I immediately chose these when I saw them. Gulf Coast Lighthouses…they’re 5th in a series. Have you seen the others? They’re really beautiful stamps! Great for summer correspondence. At least my bills will look attractive.

I received a custom order on Etsy recently for a bracelet I no longer had available. When I went about making a new wirework bracelet, I went to town and made a few more. You know how you may have a classic (or favorite) design style and you don’t mind remaking it? I don’ t think we have to reinvent the wheel each and every time we make a piece of jewelry. I had a discussion about this with a fellow jewelry-designing friend just last week. There’s that pressure to come up with the next new thing…which is fun challenge. But sometimes it’s nice to just enjoy the beauty in a piece when you love the overall design and construction.

I was sooo excited to find my sweet package in my mailbox today!! Now, that is fast!! The “Coastal Cottage” necklace is even more beautiful in person, and I cannot wait to start showing it off. It arrived in the prettiest package, too! Cindy, thank you for all of your special touches and for adding the “sweetest surprise” to my day! 🙂 Love all of these beautiful bracelet designs, too!

I know exactly what you mean…it is nice to make one of a kind pieces but also nice to comfortably make something you’ve already made because you love it.

Stunning bracelets Cindy…your wirework is impeccable!!! I really have to love a piece to keep doing it, but I am fond of making links or that LOOK it gives. I would definetely do it for special requests. I went to look at your coastal necklace on etsy
after I saw your post and it was gone already….wow…it was snatched up quick, that’s terrific!!

We drive right through the state of Va. when we go back to Connecticut to see family. I also go antiquing in Pa. often so again that is our path.
